Exhibition: A Handful of Dust 7/6 to 3/9

A friend sent me this Guardian article, where Sean O’Hagan  reviews the Whitechapel Gallery exhibition A Handful of Dust

The Exhibition is meant to be a “speculative history of the 20th century, tracing a visual journey through the imagery of dust from aerial reconnaissance, wartime destruction and natural disasters to urban decay, domestic dirt and forensics.”

The Exhibition starts by the necessary 1920 picture of Duchamps’ work in process, the picture which came to be knows as dust breeding (by Man Ray).

Probably this would be one of the most exciting visits I look forward to this summer. It is unfortunate the curator’s tour is fully booked.
